The spacious Annapolis Suite on the third floor is warm and inviting. Decorated with a faux gold paint finish, gold striped draperies surround windows with charming garden courtyard views. Curl up on the sitting room’s plush love seat in front of the carved marble fireplace. A curved entry with pillars and pilaster divide the sitting room and bedroom. The bedroom features a massive king-sized sleigh bed. The Moroccan brown & yellow marble bathroom boasts an oval whirlpool tub, separate shower and unique red flower tiles.
Historic Inspiration
The name of each of the Carrollton Inn’s thirteen rooms and suites was inspired by a facet of the life of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the original owner of the neighboring Carroll Mansion. In 1737, Charles Carroll of Carrollton was born in Annapolis, Maryland, son of Charles Carroll of Annapolis & Elizabeth Brooke. Jesuit educated, he attended the Bohemia Manor School in Cecil County, Maryland, and then traveled to France in 1749 to St. Omers in Flanders. In 1753, he studied classical and modern literature at the Jesuit College in Rheims.
