Located on the first floor, the Declaration Suite has its own private entrance from the Inn’s garden courtyard. Enter the sitting room with fireplace boasting a marble mantle and daybed. Lush fabrics in peach and gold tones add to the luxurious decor. The bathroom boasts a double whirlpool tub with separate shower accented by intricate stonework. And the romantic master bedroom features a king-sized, four-poster canopy bed.

Historic Inspiration
The name of each of the Carrollton Inn’s thirteen rooms and suites was inspired by a facet of the life of Charles Carroll of Carrollton, the original owner of the neighboring Carroll Mansion. In 1776, The Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 men, one of whom was Charles Carroll of Carrollton. Dying at the age of 95, on November 14, 1832, he was the last surviving and only Catholic signer of the Declaration. In championing the cause of independence, he risked one of the greatest fortunes in America.
