St. Patrick’s Day Parade – 16 days away!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is merely 16 days away! This year, it will be held on March 16th at the Washington Monument, starting at 2 p.m. and continues down North Charles Street to Pratt Street towards the Inner Harbor.
Thousands of parade fans have lined the streets of Baltimore for over 50 years to see the classic St. Patrick’s Day Parade. There are events at local pubs, Roman Catholic Masses in the morning at the Basilica of the National Shire of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a Shamrock 5K held throughout the day. This is a fun-filled day to celebrate Irish culture, foods, traditions and music. It is certainly a great day to be in Baltimore!
Enjoy the specials and wear your green outfits to celebrate this festive day! Be sure to stop at Tir na nOg Irish Bar and Grill in the Pratt Street Pavillion for some classic (and delicious) Irish foods.
Be sure to visit the pubs and establishments that support the parade, including A Potin Stil, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, Ryan’s Daughter Irish Pub and James Joyce Irish Pub and Restaurant.
It is recommended that you enter the city early to get a good viewing space, but why not stay the night at the 1840s Carrollton Inn and be the first ones in the city? You are bound to get a great viewing spot!
